Are you in need of a quiet night in?

Updated: Feb 19, 2019

While the nights are as dark as they could be and everyone is starting to wind down for the year, it's the perfect time for a quiet night in. Here is everything you need to have that perfect night...

Good company.

Whether you want a night in with your partner, housemates, parents or friends, surround yourself with the best company possible and you're right on track for the best night in possible.

Your favourite film.

Whether it's a Disney classic, the latest action movie or a timeless rom-com, you probably have a go-to for movie nights or you could even try something new. Whatever it is, just stick it on and settle in for the night.

Blankets and pyjamas.

For the ultimate viewing experience you need to be super comfy, curl up in your softest pyjamas and wrap yourself in a cosy blanket (bonus points if your teddy is brought out to join you on the sofa). You might even like to brew yourself a hot water bottle to keep super warm.

Food and/or snacks.

You may want to go whole hog and order a takeaway to complete the experience (I would definitely recommend fish and chips, may as well be as guilty as possible all at once, right?) But if you're looking to keep it more chill then make sure you've got enough snacks to keep you entertained - popcorn, chocolate or sweets, take your pick!

Put your phone down.

It's harder to live in the moment and engage with the people around you when you're constantly tapping away on your phone. Put your phone away for the night so as you can be completely there. If it's an issue for everyone you're with, try putting your phones face down on the table and the first person to check theirs has to forfeit something.

Now you've read this and know what you need, you just need to grab your blanket and snuggle up for a quiet night in.
